This Privacy Policy describes how QR & Barcode Scanner ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application QR & Barcode Scanner (the "Service").

1. Information Collection and Use

To provide a better experience while using our Service, the app processes certain information on your device. This information is retained on your device and is not collected by us in any way, except for the limited diagnostic and usage data described in Section 2.

1.1 Camera Data

Our app requests access to your Camera.

• Purpose:
  • To detect and read QR codes and barcodes in real time on the scanning screen.
  • To turn on the flashlight (LED) so you can scan in low light.
• Storage: Camera frames are processed locally on your device only to extract the code, and are used solely for real-time display. We do not record, store, or upload your camera frames for scanning. If you decode an image from your gallery, that image is read on your device only to extract the code.

1.2 Information Stored on Your Device

• History: Your scan and creation history (the code content, type, time, and an optional name you set) is saved locally so you can revisit it.
• Settings: App settings such as language, theme, sound and vibration preferences are saved locally.
• Control: You can delete individual entries or clear all history at any time within the app. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.

2. Third-Party Services

The app uses third-party services that may collect limited information used for analytics and crash reporting. Links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used by the app:

2.1 Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with our app, in order to improve features and user experience. Firebase Analytics may collect aggregated and anonymized data such as:

• Device information (model, operating system version, language, country/region).
• App usage events (screens viewed, features used, session duration).
• A pseudonymous app instance identifier (Firebase Installation ID / App Instance ID).

This data is processed in aggregate and is not used to personally identify you.

2.2 Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to automatically detect and diagnose app crashes and stability issues, so that we can fix bugs and improve reliability. When a crash occurs, Crashlytics may collect:

• Crash stack traces and the state of the app at the time of the crash.
• Device model, operating system version, and app version.
• An anonymous installation identifier and approximate crash time.

Crash reports do not include your name, email address, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

3. Log Data

Whenever you use our Service, in the case of an error in the app, we collect data and information (through third-party products such as Google Firebase Crashlytics) called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when using our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

4. Security

We value your trust in providing us your information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take the necessary actions.
