2. Permissions Explanation

2.1 Camera Permission (CAMERA)

  • Purpose: To capture ID photos
  • Details: Only accessed when you actively use the camera feature. Photos are saved only on your device

2.2 Storage Permission (READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

  • Purpose: To read photos from your device for importing and editing
  • Details: Only accessed when you choose to import photos from your gallery

2.3 Storage Permission (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE)

  • Purpose: To save processed ID photos to your device's gallery
  • Details: Only used when you save photos. Photos are stored locally on your device

3. How We Use Information

3.1 Photo Processing

  • All photo processing (background removal, face detection, background replacement) is performed locally on your device
  • Uses MediaPipe machine learning models (completely offline)
  • Processed photos are saved only on your device

3.2 History Records

  • Your creation history is saved only in the app's local database
  • Used to help you view and re-edit previous works
  • You can delete history records at any time in the app

4. Data Security

  • Offline Operation: The app operates completely offline and does not require internet connection (except for purchase features)
  • Local Storage: All data is stored only on your device
  • No Servers: We do not have servers to store any of your information
  • No Tracking: We do not use any analytics or tracking tools

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google Play Billing

  • Used to process in-app purchases
  • Follows Google Play's privacy policy and terms of service
  • We do not access or store your payment information

5.2 MediaPipe

  • Used for portrait segmentation and face detection
  • Operates completely offline, does not send any data to external servers
  • Open-source project maintained by Google

6. Children's Privacy

SnapID is suitable for all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information, we do not collect information from children under 13.

7. Your Rights

7.1 Data Control

  • View Data: You can view all locally stored history records in the app
  • Delete Data: You can delete history records in the app, or uninstall the app to delete all local data
  • Export Data: Your photos are saved in your device's gallery and can be exported or shared at any time

7.2 Permission Management

  • You can revoke app permissions at any time in your device's system settings
  • After revoking permissions, related features will not be available

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be published in the app with an updated "Effective Date." For significant changes, we will notify you within the app.
