Terms of Service for DualShot Recorder

Welcome to DualShot Recorder ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

DualShot Recorder is an Android video recording application that captures from multiple cameras on your device (including simultaneous wide + ultra-wide dual-camera recording, and front + back recording on supported devices). It also supports still photo capture, in-recording frame snapshots, slow motion, time-lapse, GPU-based video filters, LOG/LUT color grading, watermarks, and camera tooling overlays such as histogram, waveform, focus peaking, and zebra. The App is developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we", "us", or "our") under Parse Studio 9.

2. Use of the App

You may use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes, or for your own commercial creative projects. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose, including covert recording of others where such recording is illegal
• Distribute, sublicense, or sell the App or any part thereof
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
• Attempt to bypass Google Play's license verification or distribute cracked copies

3. Recording Responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with applicable laws, including laws governing:

• Consent for recording other people's voices or likenesses
• Recording in private, restricted, or secure locations
• Intellectual property rights of any subjects you record
• Local restrictions on audio and video recording

The App provides the recording tool; what you record and how you use the recordings is your responsibility.

4. One-Time Purchase

DualShot Recorder is distributed as a paid download through Google Play:

• One-time purchase: Pay once, own forever. No subscription, no recurring charges, no in-app purchases, no advertising.
• Full functionality: All features (dual-camera recording, 4K, slow motion, time-lapse, filters, LUT, watermark, triple-output, tooling overlays, etc.) are unlocked immediately after purchase. There is no free tier and no paywall inside the App.
• Payment & license: Processed through Google Play. Purchase, refund, and re-installation on other devices you own are governed by Google Play's terms and subject to Google Play's refund policy.
• Pricing: Current pricing is displayed on the Google Play Store listing and may vary by region.

5. Hardware Limitations

Android devices vary widely in camera hardware and firmware. While we make reasonable efforts to detect device capabilities and gracefully fall back, we cannot guarantee that every feature works on every device. Specifically:

• Dual-camera simultaneous recording requires hardware-level multi-camera support (Android Camera2 logical multi-camera, API 28+). On devices where this fails repeatedly, the App automatically falls back to single-camera mode for 1 hour and retries later.
• 4K resolution requires an encoder and sensor that support 3840×2160. The App automatically falls back to 1080p on unsupported devices.
• Slow motion (120 / 240 fps), HEVC (H.265) encoding, focus peaking, LOG mode, and LUT color grading depend on device GPU and codec capabilities. Not all devices support all features.
• Front + back simultaneous recording requires hardware concurrent camera support, which many devices do not have.

No refunds are provided for hardware-dependent feature limitations beyond Google Play's standard refund window. If a feature critical to your purchase does not work on your device, please contact us before requesting a refund so we can investigate.

6. Content Ownership

All videos and photos you record with the App belong entirely to you. We do not access, store, or claim any rights to your recordings. All media remains on your device (in Movies/DualShot and Pictures/DualShot) unless you explicitly share it through Android's share sheet.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, icons, shaders, color grading LUTs, and bundled content, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

8. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Play — For distribution, one-time purchase processing, and license verification
• Google Play Integrity Protection (if enabled in the store listing) — To prevent piracy and tampered installs. This is configured at the store level and does not send user content.
• Firebase Crashlytics — A Google crash-reporting service used to automatically collect diagnostic information when the App crashes, so we can fix stability issues across diverse Android hardware. What is and is not sent is described in detail in our Privacy Policy.

Your use of Google Play and Firebase services is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be error-free, crash-free, or uninterrupted on every device
• Every feature will work on every Android device or firmware version
• Recordings will always save successfully; you should verify critical recordings immediately after capture
• Dual-camera or high-bitrate 4K recording will not be throttled by thermal or power management on a given device

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to:

• Loss, corruption, or unsuccessful saving of recorded videos or photos
• Missed recording opportunities due to app crashes, hardware incompatibility, or thermal throttling
• Data loss due to device failure, app uninstallation, or user deletion
• Legal consequences arising from recording conduct that violates applicable laws

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
