Terms of Service for Fasting Timer

Welcome to Fasting Timer — Intermittent Fasting ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

Fasting Timer is a mobile application that provides intermittent fasting timer, tracking, and statistics features. The App is developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we", "us", or "our") under Parse Studio 9.

2. Use of the App

You may use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Distribute, sublicense, or sell the App or any part thereof
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels

3. Health Disclaimer

The App is a tracking and timing tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Fasting phase information (fat burning, ketosis, autophagy) is based on general scientific research and may not apply to every individual.

Important:

• Consult a healthcare professional before starting any fasting program
• Intermittent fasting may not be suitable for pregnant or nursing women, children, elderly, or people with certain medical conditions
• Stop fasting immediately if you experience dizziness, fainting, or other adverse symptoms
• We are not responsible for any health consequences arising from the use of this App

4. Subscription (Pro)

The App offers an optional Pro subscription at $9.99/year:

• Free tier: All core features are free — timer, basic history (30 days), statistics, weight tracking, widget, notifications. The free tier is supported by occasional advertisements served by Google AdMob (see Privacy Policy Section 2.3).
• Pro tier: Ad-free experience, unlimited history, advanced statistics, CSV export/import, Google Drive cloud backup, multiple widget styles, dynamic themes, custom app icon
• 3-day free trial: Pro features can be tried free for 3 days. No charge during the trial period. Billing begins on the 4th day if not cancelled
• Auto-renewal: After the free trial, the subscription auto-renews annually at the current price. Your Google Play account will be charged
• Cancellation: You may cancel anytime through Google Play → Subscriptions. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period
• Refunds: Subject to Google Play's refund policy

5. Data Ownership

All data you create in the App (fasting records, weight entries, settings) belongs to you. The App provides CSV export functionality so you can take your data with you at any time. We do not access, store, or claim any rights to your data.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, icons, and content, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — For anonymous diagnostic and aggregate usage statistics, used to maintain App stability and understand overall usage. See the Privacy Policy for details.
• Google Play Billing — For processing Pro subscription payments
• Google AdMob — For displaying advertisements in the free tier. AdMob is not loaded for Pro subscribers. Ad content is supplied by Google and third-party advertisers; we are not responsible for the content of advertisements served. See the Privacy Policy for the data accessed.
• Google Drive API — For optional cloud backup and restore (Pro feature). Data is stored in your personal Google Drive App Data folder

Your use of these services is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to health-related consequences.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable consumer-protection laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory statutory rights available to you as a consumer.
